2. Information we may collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
-
your name and contact details, including your email address;
-
information you provide when making an enquiry, booking a service or attending a workshop;
-
information required to process purchases, bookings and payments;
-
your communication and marketing preferences;
-
information you voluntarily share during coaching, workshops or other services;
-
feedback, reviews or survey responses;
-
technical information about how you use our website, such as device, browser, IP address and website usage information; and
-
information collected through cookies and similar technologies.
Because of the nature of our work, you may choose to share information relating to autism, disability, health or your child's or family's circumstances. Some of this may constitute special category personal data under UK data protection law.
We will only collect and use this type of information where there is an appropriate legal basis for doing so and where it is relevant to the service or support we provide.
Please only provide information about your child or another person where it is appropriate for you to do so.
3. How we use your information
We may use your personal information to:
-
respond to enquiries;

provide coaching, workshops, training and other services;
-
process purchases and bookings;
-
provide resources or products you have requested;
-
communicate with you about a service or event;

We do not sell your personal information.
4. Our lawful bases for using your information
Under UK data protection law, we need a lawful basis for processing personal information.
Depending on the circumstances, we may rely on:
Contract: where we need your information to provide a product or service you have purchased or requested.
Consent: where you have given us permission, for example to receive certain marketing communications or where consent is appropriate for particular information you choose to provide.
Legitimate interests: where processing is reasonably necessary to operate and improve The Autistic CEO, communicate with customers and protect our business, provided those interests do not override your rights and interests.
Legal obligation: where we need to process or retain information to comply with the law.
Where we process special category information, such as information relating to health or disability, we will also ensure that an appropriate additional condition for processing that information applies.
Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
5. Email marketing
If you subscribe to our newsletter or agree to receive marketing communications, we may contact you with information about resources, workshops, events, products and services from The Autistic CEO.
You can unsubscribe at any time by using the unsubscribe link in our emails or contacting us directly.
Unsubscribing from marketing will not prevent us from sending you essential communications relating to a booking, purchase or service you are using.
6. Payments and purchases
When you purchase a product or service, payments may be processed through third-party payment providers.
We do not normally receive or store your complete payment card details. Payment providers process payment information in accordance with their own privacy and security arrangements.
We may retain transaction information that we need for accounting, customer service and legal purposes.
7. Workshops and events
When you register for one of our workshops, webinars or events, we may collect information necessary to administer your registration and communicate with you about the event.
Where registration is handled through an external booking or event platform, that provider may also process your information under its own privacy policy.
We will not use information you share during a workshop or event for testimonials, publicity or marketing without an appropriate basis or permission.
8. Coaching and family support
When you use our coaching or family-support services, you may choose to share information about yourself, your child or your family so that we can understand your circumstances and provide relevant support.
We aim to collect only information that is relevant to providing the service.
The Autistic CEO does not provide medical diagnosis or emergency medical services. Information shared through our services should not replace advice from appropriately qualified health, education, legal or other professionals where this is required.

These organisations may process personal information on our behalf or, in some circumstances, act as separate data controllers.
We may also disclose information where required by law or where reasonably necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal rights.
We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.
10. International transfers
Some of the technology and service providers we use may process information outside the United Kingdom.
Where personal information is transferred internationally, we will take appropriate steps to ensure that the transfer complies with applicable UK data protection requirements and that appropriate safeguards are in place where required.
11. How long we keep your information
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and to meet any legal, accounting or regulatory requirements.
Different types of information may therefore be retained for different periods.
When information is no longer required, we will take reasonable steps to delete it securely or anonymise it.
12. How we protect your information
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, misuse, unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure.
However, no website, email system or method of electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
13. Cookies
Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to make the website work, remember preferences, understand how visitors use the website and, where applicable, support marketing activities.
Where consent is required for non-essential cookies, these cookies should not be used until you have made your choice.
You can manage your preferences through the cookie controls available on our website.
